Achieve A Knockout Smile With Invisalign

In August, the second week of the month is celebrated as National Smile Week. While you may not have time to completely undergo orthodontic treatment to have a straight, healthy smile before then, think ahead to next year and what you really want out of your mouth. At Advanced Dental Techniques, we are happy that we can offer you several orthodontics options, including Invisalign and all the benefits that come with this ground-breaking procedure.

How Does It Work?

One of the major benefits of Invisalign is that your corrective appliances are virtually invisible. At your first visit, a camera is used to create a 3D image of your mouth so Dr. Breiterman can create a treatment plan. This treatment plan involves a series of clear, plastic aligners that are changed every week. Over time, the aligners shift your teeth to where you want them to be without the metal appliances and discomfort that often accompany traditional braces.

The Benefits of Invisalign

Other than the obvious benefits of convenience and aesthetics, there are other positives of Invisalign that you may not be aware of.

·  Faster treatment: traditional braces can be worn for up to five years, where Invisalign is typically completed within a year to 18 months.

·  Better oral health: because the plastic aligners can be completely removed when necessary, you can floss, brush and rinse just like normal.

·  Eat whatever you want: traditional, metal braces limit what you can eat, but aligners are removed when you eat with Invisalign, so you have no worries about food getting stuck in your teeth.

Comfort: if your aligners are feeling constrictive or you are in pain, you can remove the aligners for several hours, although you should be wearing them 20-22 hours a day.

We want you to have the straight, perfect smile you’ve always wanted, but without the hassle that can come with traditional braces. To learn more about Invisalign and to determine if you are a good candidate, contact us in Wayne, NJ today to schedule a consultation!
