Dr. Breiterman utilizes intraoral camera technology that helps enhance your understanding of your diagnosis. The intraoral camera, now used by Dr. Breiterman is a small pen sized wand with a tiny lens. It allows our practice to view the magnified images of your mouth, teeth and gums. The camera zooms in for close ups and freezes individual snapshots. The pictures can be displayed on our televisions at up to 40 times the normal size.
In addition, Dr. Breiterman now uses a professional grade digital 35 mm SLR camera outfitted with a special lens and flash to shoot up to 20 individual photos of your mouth. With computer technology, these images can be instantly be seen and enlarged on large screen monitors so the patient sees exactly what the doctor sees. This aids in better diagnosis and communication with patients.
