ELECTRIC HANDPIECES
Many dentists use air-driven "hand-pieces" (the dental term for "drills"). These "whiney sounding" air powered hand pieces all have a degree of non-concentricity; ( they do not rotate perfectly smoothly). At Advanced Dental Techniques we only use electric handpieces that are virtually silent. If the whine of the dental drill offends your senses, electric handpieces will place your mind at ease. Electric handpieces are also perform more smoothly, resulting in an extraordinarily precise interface between your tooth and your new restoration (crown, veneer, or filling) and will be smoother and more comfortable as well. With a more precise tool, there is less vibration and less noise!
